About Dr. Cole

Dr. Cole has built a solid reputation in the cybersecurity industry over the last three decades. His career has advanced from starting as a professional hacker for the CIA to becoming the 44th President's commissioner on cyber security. His accomplishments have earned him an induction into the Information Security Hall of Fame and have awarded him as a Cyber Wingman from the US Air Force. His recognition has caught the interest of current clients, who include international banking institutions, Fortune 500 organizations, Bill Gates, and Saudi Aramco. His entrepreneurial accomplishments include three successful exits building eight-, nine-, and ten-figure organizations. Secure Anchor Consulting is his fourth cyber security business venture. Aside from his seasoned technical expertise, Dr. Cole is a well-known public figure and author of various publications. He recently released his eighth book, Cyber Crisis, which debuted at #1 on the Wall Street Journal's bestseller list. Dr. Cole's accomplishments are consequential to fulfilling his goal of providing relief in cybersecurity, and his mission: to make cyberspace a safe place to live, work and raise a family.

Kyriakos “Rock” Lambros is the CEO and Founder of RockCyber, LLC. He is a seasoned Cybersecurity and Information Technology executive with expertise in aligning Cybersecurity and technology strategy with enterprise business goals in order to reduce the risk of revenue to the organization. This includes building security programs, architecture, operations, threat intelligence, governance, risk management, compliance and incident response for (multi-billion dollar) global organizations with exceptional security requirements. Rock’s enterprise experience has spanned industries with vastly differing security and privacy requirements including energy, eCommerce, government, banking, and manufacturing.
Rock has served in several senior Cybersecurity and technology roles for global, multi-billion-dollar companies such as MPLX (a subsidiary of Marathon Petroleum Corporation) eBay, Honeywell, General Dynamics Information Technology, Wells Fargo and Agilent Technologies. He built security programs from the ground up on multiple occasions and was a key contributor to M&A activities at multiple companies, including Marathon Petroleum Corporation’s acquisition of MarkWest Energy Partners. Rock oversaw multi-million dollar budgets, led successful defenses against highly-publicized denial-of-service attacks and built and managed large Security and Network Operations Centers.
Rock serves on the board of several stealth-mode startups as a corporate strategy and Cybersecurity advisor. He also co-chaired the Rocky Mountain Information Security Conference from 2015 to 2017,
A sought-after speaker, Rock has spoken at the annual RSA Conference, the largest cybersecurity conference in the world. He has also appeared on panels at the CIO Energy Summit, the Future of Data Security webinar, and for events hosted by the American Council for Technology. He has also spoken for the ISSA CISO Mentorship series and at industry association local chapter meetings.
Rock is a member of ISSA, ISC2, the Cloud Security Alliance and OWASP. He graduated with an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Arizona State University and received his B.S. in Management Information Systems from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.

With over 25 years’ experience in cyber security, risk and compliance functions, Erica has been the Information Security Officer at a leading U.S. financial services organization in addition to roles in Security and Compliance at both Ernst & Young and KPMG. 

In her roles, she has created cyber security programs and acted as a security advocate to stakeholders both internal and external to the organizations.

Julie Chickillo

Julie Chickillo is an information security, risk and compliance professional with over 15 years of experience in Information Security Governance, Risk and Compliance, Threat & Vulnerability, IT Audit, Privacy, DevSecOps and Legal. She has proven leadership, presentation and communication skills, and a natural ability to work with business partners to effectively achieve risk reduction and regulatory compliance while supporting the business goals and initiatives. 

Julie is excellent at interpreting government regulations, mandates and working with technical teams to achieve compliance.

Paul M. Kay

Global Chief Information Security and Data Protection Officer

About Paul

Paul is the Global Chief Information Security and Data Protection Officer at EchoStar, a worldwide provider of telecommunications products and services in more than 100 countries. In this role, he established EchoStar’s first strategic global cybersecurity and privacy protection organization. Prior to EchoStar, Paul served in other leadership roles in various Fortune 500 and 100 companies.

Preceding his work in private industry, Paul served in several U.S. law enforcement agencies, culminating in working as an organized crime and major case detective and 9/11 terrorism task force officer. During his career, Paul was awarded the New York Law School 9/11 Student Hero Award, a Congressional commendation, and numerous other awards and has been featured on "Court TV."

Paul holds an ALM from Harvard, a Juris Doctorate from New York Law school, an MPA from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a BSc from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He also holds a Harvard post-graduate certificate in cybersecurity along with certifications in fraud examination, information security, and data privacy and has completed the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management Senior Executive Leadership Program.

Paul is a former board member for the Rocky Mountain Victim Law Center and is currently a board member for the Korey Wise Innocence Project at the University of Colorado Law School Boulder.

Alex Wood has over 22 years of experience in Information Security and is currently the CISO for Uplight, a software company powering decarbonization of the power grid. 

Alex has managed security programs and services at major companies across verticals, including telecommunications, energy, healthcare, entertainment, travel, and financial services. Additionally, Alex has served as a Director on the International Board of the Information System Security Association (ISSA), is Past-President of the ISSA Denver Chapter, and is Co-host of the Colorado = Security Podcast.

Craig has worked in the IT industry for over 25 years and has focused on security for the past 15 years. He started in security as a forensic analyst and incident handler. After doing that for several years he moved into leadership in the InfoSec space and has been leading security teams in different capacities for the past 10 years. 

Craig has experience in Higher Education, Healthcare, Software Companies, and State government as well as some non-profit experience. Craig is passionate about creating the Office of Know instead of the Office of No.

Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser was sworn in as the State’s 39th Attorney General on January 8, 2019. As the state’s chief legal officer, Attorney General Weiser is committed to protecting the people of Colorado and building an innovative and collaborative organization that will address a range of statewide challenges, from addressing the opioid epidemic to reforming our criminal justice system to protecting our land, air, and water.
Attorney General Weiser has dedicated his life to the law, justice, and public service. Before running for office, Weiser served as the Hatfield Professor of Law and Dean of the University of Colorado Law School, where he founded the Silicon Flatirons Center for Law, Technology, and Entrepreneurship and co-chaired the Colorado Innovation Council.
Weiser served as a Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the U.S. Department of Justice and as Senior Advisor for Technology and Innovation in the Obama Administration’s National Economic Council. He served on President Obama’s Transition Team, overseeing the Federal Trade Commission and previously served in President Bill Clinton’s Department of Justice as senior counsel to the Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Antitrust Division, advising on telecommunications matters.
Before his appointment at the Justice Department, Weiser served as a law clerk to Justices Byron R. White and Ruth Bader Ginsburg at the United States Supreme Court and to Judge David Ebel at the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver, Colorado.
The son and grandson of Holocaust survivors, Weiser is deeply committed to the American Dream and ensuring opportunity for all Coloradans. Weiser lives in Denver with his wife, Dr. Heidi Wald, and their two children.

Gary S. Chan is a security mentalist, an intellectual who uses game theory and math to predict and influence the future. He uses these skills to build avant-garde security programs and harden organizations against advanced persistent adversaries. He is trained in behavioral profiling, conflict management, negotiation, interrogation, and mediation.

Career-wise, Gary S. Chan is system vice president and chief information security officer at SSM Health, a multi-state healthcare system. He has architected anti-fraud systems for state agencies, led the information security teams for a large-cap technology company, and was an evaluator and mentor for cybersecurity start-ups as part of a venture capital fund. He served as President of the FBI St. Louis Citizens Academy Alumni Association and Technology Officer for the Greater St. Louis Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He holds four security certifications and a degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from MIT.
